Beautiful Cliff House in Washington by Scott Allen Architecture

Cliff House was designed by Architect Scott Allen. The house is located in Gig Harbor, Washington. As it names implies, the house was built behind a natural cliff.

You enter from the upland lawn and proceed with a glass-enclosed elevator providing access to the two levels below. The stairs lead to the body of water below, along the way you will pass a series of decks, terraces, and bridges.

Moving inside for a feel of a boat’s cabin interior with Douglas fir ceilings, walls, and trim. It fitted with large windows and doors for easy access. Materials were selected in regards for their ability to withstand this marine environment, including copper, concrete, metal window cladding, and cedar. <via>
